United States Coast Guard Band Concert Series

The Concert Series continues with a tribute to our local SubVets. The United States Coast Guard Band will honor those who have served our country in the submarine force, playing appropriate music including Anchors Aweigh. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and settle in for a lovely evening of music at Eastern Point Beach. Concert at 7:00. Rain date - July 21.

The 10th Annual Fish Tales, Tugs & Sails is on July 23rd! A free, nautically-themed family festival celebrating literature and the environment and this year includes SUBMARINE THEMED educational and entertainment activities for children. Welcome the special guests and performers as they arrive by tugboat. Enjoy story time with special guest community readers, live performances, hands-on activities, big boats, sea critter touch tanks and much more!

The Concert Series ends with a tribute to the Coast Guard 226th birthday. The band will honor the Coast Guard with appropriate music and give a nod to the upcoming 50th birthday of UCONN Avery Point. Bring a blanket or beach chair and enjoy the dulcet tones of the United States Coast Guard Band on the lawn of the Branford House. Concert at 7:00. Rain date - August 4.

Preview Screening of HELL BELLOW: FATAL VOYAGE

A special preview screening before it airs of a 46 minute episode of the Smithsonian Channel's new six part series about submarines during WWII, HELL BELLOW. The Submarine Force Museum will be screening episode six: FATAL VOYAGE in the museum theater continuously throughout the day starting at the top of each hour. Summer Nights – Sub Century Appreciation Night

Mystic Aquarium salutes to the Submarine Century at a special Summer Nights, Monday, August 15 from 6-9 PM. Come watch as our Navy volunteer divers do fun activities and tricks in our exhibits with the belugas and tropical fish! Tickets can be purchased in-person night of event starting at 6 pm. Adult (18+) $20, Youth (13-17) $15, and Child (3-12) $12. Mystic Aquarium Members are free.
