In honor of CT Submarine Century, Navy service members race for FREE! Don't miss this annual 5k race to cap off what is sure to be an amazing Sailfest weekend. The race, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT, takes runners through historic downtown New London, starting on Eugene O'Neill Drive and ending at the Soldiers and Sailors monument, where the New London firefighters will set up a sprinkler for runners to cool down. Now in its tenth year, Art on Groton Bank takes place on the grounds of the Bill Memorial Library, located on historic Groton Bank. United States Coast Guard Band Concert Series

The Concert Series ends with a tribute to the Coast Guard 226th birthday. The band will honor the Coast Guard with appropriate music and give a nod to the upcoming 50th birthday of UCONN Avery Point. A special preview screening before it airs of a 46 minute episode of the Smithsonian Channel's new six part series about submarines during WWII, HELL BELLOW. Mystic Aquarium salutes to the Submarine Century at a special Summer Nights, Monday, August 15 from 6-9 PM. Come watch as our Navy volunteer divers do fun activities and tricks in our exhibits with the belugas and tropical fish! Tickets can be purchased in-person night of event starting at 6 pm. Adult (18+) $20, Youth (13-17) $15, and Child (3-12) $12. Mystic Aquarium Members are free.
