The Connecticut Submarine Lecture Series continues with Tom Plante, EB’s Director of Strategic Planning. He will explain how Electric Boat was established and trace its growth during two world wars. The story of the development of the world’s first nuclear-powered submarine and subsequent submarine classes will be recounted. In 2014, the U.S. Navy awarded Electric Boat a $17.6 billion contract for the construction of 10 additional Virginia-class submarines, the largest contract ever given by the Navy. Join us to hear…

United States Coast Guard Band Concert Series

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Naval Submarine Base New London and the Naval Submarine School, as the United States Coast Guard Band kicks off this concert series as part of Groton’s SUBASE Week. The Coast Guard Band will present music to honor this milestone. Bring a blanket or beach chair and enjoy music by the Sound. Concert at 7:00. Rain date - June 23.

The Submarine Force Museum will celebrate 100 years of US Navy Submarines in Connecticut with a series of special presentations and exhibits.
